The "Chingis Khaan's Cup-2009" Judo World Cup competitions that started October 31 ended Sunday in Ulaanbaatar. These competitions took place for the first time in Asia with participation of 128 male and female judoists from the Czech Republic, Spain, Germany, Chinese Hong Kong, Japan, Kazakhstan, the Republic of Korea, Malaysia, Mongolia, Poland, Russia, Ukraine and Uzbekistan, under auspices of the Mongolian President.

The host country grabbed 27 medals, of which 5 gold, 6 silver and 16 bronze medals. As the final team results, Mongolia took second place following the Korea's team that won 7 gold, 2 silver and 3 bronze medals. Ukraine captured 2 gold, 2 silver, 4 bronze; Germany--one silver, two bronze; Japan--one silver, one bronze; Poland--one silver; Kazakhstan--one silver; Czech--one bronze; and Uzbekistan--one bronze.
A State Honored Sportsman and current world number one Kh.Tsagaanbaatar who won gold at the weight category of 66 kg, was selected as the best judoist of the competitions, and was granted with a Special Cup. Meanwhile, Korea's Kim Na-Young became the best female judoist.
All weight categories' winners at male and female received cash prizes of USD 3,000, respectively. The silver medalists had USD 1,500 and the bronze medalists--USD 1,000, respectively.
